November Luncheon In November, Bev & Elaine arranged our luncheon at Mimi's and a tour of the art studio of Don Wiegand. It was a wonderful luncheon and a fabulour tour of the art studio. Thanks so much Bev and Elaine for a delightful day. We celebrated the November birthdays. Mary & Marian wore the tiaras on their birthdays.
We played kazoos for the birthday girls.
Then we went to Don Wiegand's art studio for a tour. Mr. Wiegand has his art displayed all over the world and has created metals that are awarded to people as tributes. For instance, the Spirit of Hope featuring a likeness of Bob Hope for the Pentagon awards ceremony, the Bartholdi Liberty pins to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the dedication of Federic-Auguste Bartholdi's world famous statue of Liberty Enlightening the World, a medal that was santioned by Pope John Paul II to be used by Rabbi Abie Ingber as an expression of the pontiff's love for the Jewish people, and the Lindbergh Art Metals that are awarded to a variety of worthy recipients.
Mr. Weigand's studio is filled with wonderful pieces he has collected from all over the world.

Mr. Wiegand gave the Miniature Museum of Greater St. Louis, a Bartholdi Liberty pin to commemorate our visit to his studio. We will display this proudly at the museum.
Thanks Bev and Elaine for arranging this wonderful experience.
